PRInfo Cameras

Setup guide for deploying UniFi cameras in the PRInfo/prize display area. These cameras are part of the UniFi Protect system but are installed independently from the main console setup.

Setup

Identify mounting location with clear view of prize display area
Mount camera securely — high enough to deter tampering, angled to cover the full prize area
Run PoE Ethernet cable from camera to PoE injector (or UCG-Max PoE port)
Connect PoE injector to power and to UCG-Max LAN port
Wait for camera to boot (1–2 minutes)
Open UniFi Protect app or web UI and verify camera appears
Adjust camera angle and zoom to frame the prize area
Set recording mode to Continuous for the event

Verification

Camera appears in Protect as “Connected”
Live view shows prize display area clearly
Recording is active (recording indicator visible)
Camera is securely mounted and cables are tidy

Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
Camera offline	Check Ethernet cable at both ends, verify PoE injector has power
No image / black screen	Clean camera lens, check if lens cap is still on
Poor video quality	Adjust camera settings (exposure, IR), clean lens, check lighting
Camera not adopted	Open Protect → Devices → Adopt the new camera
Blurry image	Adjust focus if manual-focus model, or reposition camera
